German Sausages with Apples and Cabbage
Prep time: 8 minutes. Serves 4
This low on effort, but high in flavor meal is a recipe perfect for our many different sausages. Now that the weather is getting colder, it's a great recipe for those cold winter nights.
A classic blend of slow cooked cabbage, sweet tart apples and German sausage makes a hearty meal perfect for a wintry day!
Ingredients
6 cups shredded red cabbage
3 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
4 bratwurst sausages
⅓ cup chicken broth
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper
Directions
1. Place cabbage and apples in a slow cooker and lay bratwurst on top. Add broth and vinegar to the slow cooker and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
2. Cover and cook for 3 hours on high or 7 hours on low.
Let your crockpot go to work for you. Come home to a delicious meal.
